Abby Schmidt is the younger sister of Mike Schmidt who was raised solely by him after their parents abandonment following the kidnapping of their brother Garrett Schmidt. Schmidt befriended the missing children of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Place and often drew herself and Mike with them. When Mike brought her to his job at the pizzeria, she introduced him to her animatronic friends, much to his bewilderment. Later, after an attempt to reconnect with their aunt Jane Schmidt, one of the children lured Schmidt to Freddy’s alone. There, Chica nearly trapped her in a springlock suit until Mike saved her. While fleeing, Mr. Cupcake attacked Mike, forcing Schmidt to hide in the arcade. Vanessa Shelly later rescued them, but Schmidt witnessed William Afton attacking Mike. She revealed the truth to the animatronics, who turned on Afton. After he was subdued, Schmidt and Mike took Shelly to the hospital. Later, Schmidt expressed her desire to see her animatronic friends again, enjoying a peaceful moment with her brother.

Abby Schmidt is inquisitive and brave with a creative mind and keen intuition. A bit of a loner who keeps her thoughts and feelings close to her chest and a girl with long fingernails, she expresses herself primarily through drawings.
Growing up without her parents, while being raised by her unreliable brother, Abby has learned to fend for herself. That said, she is still very much a child, emotionally vulnerable, full of imagination, and not without the normal outbursts of a ten-year-old.[1]
